MOSCOW

Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, is a city of over 10 million people.  It is the political and business capital of the Russian Federation.  Founded in 1156 by the Prince Yuri Dolgoruky, it was destroyed and burned on several occasions, first by several waves of Tartar invasions in the Middle Ages, then during Napoleon’s campaign in Russia at the beginning of the 19th century.

Today Moscow is famous around the world for its Kremlin (fortification), Red (beautiful) square, a magnificent subway, the Bolshoi Theater, the Russian Circus, magnificent churches and monasteries, and numerous museums and theaters.
